Yesterday, February 17th, The Self-Hating Hipster reached its first viewing milestone: the site now has over 10,000 total views. That may not seem like much to some, but considering that I started the site in late August 2011, it’s nothing to scoff at. Our readership has grown exponentially over the past six months. The average number of views per day for the first two months was a measly 13. Our average number of views per day for the month of February is over ten times that!
More and more people are beginning to follow the website which is very encouraging and drives me to set even stiffer production goals for myself and the wonderful team of writers that I work with. I am hoping that the next few months will bring us not only more viewers and subscribers, but also more contributors so that The Self-Hating Hipster can become the comprehensive pop culture catch-all that I have envisioned all along. I would like to see the SHH become a blog that’s worth checking every day, whether or not it be for a few minutes on the can at work or a half an hour of casual reading at home with an adult beverage. All I have to say that this point is viewers keep viewing and writers keep writing! We might even become trendy one day…
